Our back-to-nature Scottish getaway

Welcome to Lubnaig Guest House

Want to go off-grid for a few days?

Our beautiful Victorian lodge is set in jaw-dropping countryside. This is an utterly peaceful retreat where guests can escape the humdrum of city life.

Located within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and within walking distance to the charming town of Callander, Lubnaig Guest House is the perfect base for visiting central Scotland and for walking, hiking, golf and cycling holidays.

The lodge features six beautifully refurbished, clean and spacious en suite bedrooms and our two-bedroom independent coach house is ideal for families. Nestled within ample grounds featuring sunny terraces, a mature garden and woodland setting, this is a truly idyllic and natural Scottish retreat.

We serve a delicious home cooked breakfast every morning to set you up for a full day of activity. At night, sink into our comfortable double or twin beds with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen and happily dream of the next day’s Scottish adventure!

Why stay with us?

After 25 years as flight attendants, our greatest passion has always been meeting travellers and providing a warm welcome. Our dream was to open a guest house and that dream came true with Lubnaig Guest House.

We chose the Scottish countryside for its dramatic and rugged landscape, and the warm welcome you can expect from the local community.

We know you’ll love it as much as we do!

Our guesthouse is located off the main road, so it's really peaceful. A place where you can completely disconnect from everyday life and where you can romp through a landscape of lochs and glens, speckled with castles and beauty spots, such as the Bracklinn Falls.

We love the mature gardens and woodland backdrop that sets the scene of Lubnaig Guest House. On a fine sunny day, you can relax on the terrace with a cold beer, glass of wine or just a good old cup of tea!

Our favourite spot indoors is the lounge area overlooking the garden. Guests can while away a rainy day or snowy evening in front of the log fire. Grab a novel from our large collection of books and curl up on the sofa. There are also many books on classic cars - another passion!

Francesca and I share a love of cooking. We attended professional cooking and patisserie courses respectively, and guests appreciate they have the choice to dine in with us. Every dish we serve is prepared with love!

We serve a daily breakfast which is cooked to order. What will you choose?

A healthy option packed with goodness or our hearty full English breakfast? Either way, our breakfasts are made to set you up for the day.

We are also happy to prepare pre-booked dinners from Tuesday to Saturday. We take culinary inspiration from our Italian background and guests can enjoy a menu selection of Mediterranean and Thai dishes (we also lived in Thailand)!
